Transport

Planes, trains or automobiles? Several ways to get here, depending on where you’re coming from…

Car. If you’re driving, check out your options using Google Maps, the condo is about 25 minute drive from downtown SLC.

Rail. There is an Amtrak station in Salt Lake City – check out fares and schedules on the Amtrak website.

Plane. Many people prefer to fly, so you’ll land at Salt Lake City International Airport, which is only 10 minutes from downtown. Several airlines access the airport – check out the Airline Links page for more information. The light rail ‘TRAX’ now runs from the airport into Salt Lake City and all the way down to Sandy, you may consider catching the TRAX – see Utah Transport Authority. If you are travelling from Australia you can fly into LAX or Dallas and then direct to Salt Lake City. SLC airport is a Delta hub, though many other airlines including American Airlines flies into SLC.

Getting to your accommodation

If you’re not renting a car, then we recommend Orion Express Transportation for hassle free transport to our Condo. Get a quote or reserve a car by calling (801) 352-2800 or for more information email info@orionlimos.com

Uber is easy to use in Salt Lake City. Pickups available at the airport. UberX should be around $30-$40 or UberXL (so you can fit all your gear) around $35-$50.

If you are renting a car, all major rental car companies are accessible at the airport. For Australian or overseas visitor check that insurance is covered by your rental agreement. Travel insurance (mostly) does not cover the full insurance needed on a rental car in the US. We use rentalcars.com which included full insurance.

Getting around town

Salt Lake City has a great public transport system, including the fast TRAX light rail and a ski service that runs during the ski season. Visit the UTA website for routes, timetables and pricing.
