There is a large Smiths supermarket and gas station less than 5 minutes drive from the Condo or a short 1.1 km (.7 mile) walk.
Nearby driving distance is a Wholefoods, Super Target, Walmart, and a number of other supermarkets.
There are lots of ski stores around this area and up in the mountains. You may want to check many yourself. Rentals deals are available all over town.
- Level Nine Sports (downtown Salt Lake City)
- The Lift House sports on Fort Union Blvd
- Alta Sports, Alta Utah (on Mountain)
- Twin Peaks Rentals and Repairs (Cottonwood Heights)
- Black Diamond Factory Store
Most of the ski stores do a pretty good job at ski tuning, there is a particularly good tuner near the local Smiths supermarket called Twin Peaks Rentals and Repairs. The Lift House also does a very quick and good job.
There are a number of shopping malls nearby:
Fort Union Blvd & Union Park Ave Area: There are a bunch of stores all close by including; Super Target, Walmart, TJ Maxx, Dicks Sporting Goods, Office Depot, Ross, Starbucks
Sandy South Towne Center (10000 S State St): All the usual suspects in a large mall or nearby: Macys, Dillards, JC Penney, A&F and many more. Nearby REI, Super Target, PetSmart, Bed Bath & Beyond, Nordstroms Rack, Staples and many more.
City Creek Centre – Downtown SLC: A very new mall featuring many up market stores and department stores. This mall is not open on Sundays.
Park City Outlet Mall: On the way to Park City off I80 about 40 minutes from downtown SLC. This is the typical outlet mall with many outlet style stores, leave yourself plenty of time to look around. Parking can be difficult on weekends and holidays.
State Liquor Stores
Anything other than light beer needs to be purchase through a Utah State Liquor Store. The nearest state liquor store is on Fort Union Blvd about 15 minutes from the condo. Pricing is pretty good and is generally better than Australian (or US) duty free prices.
